From the Kenyon Athletics web site: “CLEVELAND, Ohio— Kenyon College senior Maddy Stark had one of the best offensive weeks of her career and Monday the North Coast Athletic Conference recognized her for it by naming her the conference’s Player of the Week.
Stark played in all six Kenyon games this week and helped steer the Ladies to a perfect 6-0 record. The wins extended Kenyon’s program-best win streak to 15 and pumped up the team’s overall record to 19-3.
During that stretch of six games, Stark went 13-for-23 (.565) at the plate with 10 runs scored and 11 RBI. Two of her hits were doubles and three were home runs. She piled up 24 total bases and racked up a slugging percentage of 1.043. She also drew one walk and stole a base.
In 22 games this seasons, Stark is batting .397 with 19 runs scored and 22 RBI.
Although she was not recognized by the NCAC for her pitching performance, Stark was equally impressive in the circle this past week. She made four appearances, worked 26 innings, struck out 25 batters, and chalked up a perfect 4-0 record. She gave up just six earned runs and posted a 2.08 earned run average. With 45 career wins, she is now Kenyon’s all-time career leader.”
